Sea Buckthorn

Sea Buckthorn is a shrub spiky plant which we find usually on steep roads and forest edges. It is one of the most resistant species in the world, being found in the Carpathians to the Himalayas. I wrote about the asian variant, it's goji berries.
This fruit still stands on branches in winter,  up to -40 degrees Celsius without loosing its properties. The fruits are small and orange.

Seabuckthorn has no equal in terms of the help it gives our immune System and it is a very powerful energizer.
Almost everything can be used: fruits, bark and roots.
Fruits come  very hard off the branches and thorns will hurt you during harvest. To simplify things, cut the branches first  than take the fruits off with a fork. Contrary to expectations, this treatment will not damage the plant, which has such vitality, that after cutting one branch, the plant will grow two - three or more branches instead.

After the fruit harvesting, simply peel the bark with a knife from the branch (if you want to use it).
The roots are rarely used in therapy, because on the one hand are difficult to obtain (unearthing them is not an easy job), and on the other hand, cutting them, unlike the twigs, seriously affects the vitality of the plant . In addition, these roots have properties quite similar to the bark, so we have a valuable substitute.
Next I will focus on this fruit are the tastiest and easiest to obtain.
